The research unit of POLIBA have a consolidate experience in the field of monitoring and safety assessment of historical buildings. Recently they were Leader Partner of a EU project of Cooperation Greece-Italy, 2011-2015: “Structural Monitoring of ARTistic and historical BUILding Testimonies - S.M.ART. BUIL.T.” In particular, the team monitored and studied various historical buildings: the Trani Cathedral’s bell tower, and the Clock tower of the Castle of Trani in Italy; the Church of Annunziata’s bell tower and San Giacomo Palace, in Corfu, Greece.
